I've taken an old bw sketch and started experimenting a way for making nice shadigs quickly. The blend tool was revealed really useful for accomplishing this task, expecially when used in multiply mode. Within few minutes the main shading was complete!
The harder work was smudging the bw sketch because it was too rough. It was originally 2 colors image, then was scaled and rotated a bit.
The armour was coloured through three layers with different colors each setted to color mode and with an applied mask for allowing the lower colors.

Kaori from City Hunter is the first subject used for playing with my new graphic tablet. I've mainly used the airbrush tool because I focused my work on the shadows of t-shirt and jeans. I've still kept the orignal sketch below the CG work. After painting it I've noticed it was too dark and saturated, I've applied a value of 24 for brightness and -60 for contrast.
